According to KXAN, a Round Rock woman is charged with intoxication manslaughter after killing another driver in a head-on crash in Georgetown, Texas.
Lisa Miller, 46, left the elementary school where she works and was on her way home when the crash occurred. Driving south on County Road 175 around 11:00 p.m., Miller suddenly crossed into the northbound lane and struck the vehicle of 69-year-old Raymond Shannon.
Shannon died at the scene of the crash, reports KXAN. When the police made the arrest, Miller smelled of alcohol and had red eyes. In addition, the police found an opened wine bottle and prescription pill bottle in Miller’s center console.
Miller, who was booked into Williamson County Jail, admitted to taking some prescribed pills before heading home from work, according to KXAN.
