One person was killed in a fatal bicycle accident in Albuquerque.
Details about the Fatal Bicycle Accident
The Albuquerque Journal is reporting that a bicyclist was killed after he collided with a vehicle at Central and Broadway in an accident that happened Tuesday evening, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.
Officer Mike Schroeder has stated that the vehicle was heading north on Broadway when the bicyclist was heading west on Central when the two collided with each other. The accident reportedly happened at about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and the driver was taken into custody under suspicion of being intoxicated at the time of the accident. Police have not released the name of the person who was killed in the accident.
An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time in order to determine who had the right of way.
