At Least 3 Dead in Leon County Accident
At least 3 people are dead due to a fatal accident on westbound I-10 involving a tractor-trailer and a Chevy Impala.
About the Leon County Fatal Accident
WTXL TV has reported that a fatal accident occurred at 3:26 p.m. in Leon County, Florida. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at least 3 people have died as a result of the accident and one was taken to a nearby hospital.
The accident occurred near mile marker 214, between exit 209 and exit 217, as has been reported by WTXL. The crash blocked the westbound lanes and traffic had to be detoured to exit 209.
This accident involved a head on collision with a semi-truck when a Chevy Impala crossed the median and caused a head-on collision.
Originally, Florida Highway Patrol reported that the eastbound lanes had been backed up but that information has been corrected to the westbound lanes of I-10.
