Man Dead After Suspected Drunk Driver Crashes into Motorcycle

According to The Houston Chronicle, a man is dead after his motorcycle is hit by a drunk driver in Houston, Texas, on Sunday morning.

Details of the Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Lauren Franek drove her black Mercedes in the 11100 block of Spring Cypress when she attempted to make a left turn. Franek did not see the oncoming motorcyclist, causing him to crash into her vehicle.

The motorcyclist died at the scene of the wreck, reports The Houston Chronicle. Police say alcohol is a factor but that the incident is still under investigation. In addition, officials are investigating whether speed played a role in the crash as well.

Police arrested Franek for drunk driving, and depending on the speed of the motorcycle at the time of the wreck, she could face a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
