Denon Recalls Battery Packs Due to Fire Hazard
Denon Electronics is issuing a recall on approximately 3,400 HEOS 1 Go Pack lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs for wireless speakers due to a burn and fire hazard.
About the Denon HEOS 1 Go Pack Rechargeable Battery Recall
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recall is due to the rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs overheating, posing a potential fire and burn hazard to users.
Owners of the recalled battery packs are urged to stop using them immediately and contact Denon for a free replacement battery pack.
According to the company, no injuries have been reported in relation to the recalled battery packs.
Description of the Recalled HEOS 1 Go Pack Rechargeable Battery
The recall includes battery packs with the following serial numbers:
- Serial number begins with 5 or 601G91, and
- Serial number ends with 3517 through 4004
The recalled battery packs come in black and white and are hexagon shaped. The recall is for the battery pack only and does not include the speaker.
Recalled HEOS 1 Go Packs were sold at Best Buy (Magnolia), Brookstone, BestBuy.com, and Amazon.com between May 2015 and June 2016.
