Mother Killed, Two Children Ejected in Liberty County Truck Accident
A Houston mother was killed and her two young children are in critical condition following a major crash involving two large trucks in Liberty County near Cleveland, Texas on Monday.
Details of the Fatal Liberty County Truck Accident
According to Click 2 Houston, the crash occurred around 6 am on FM 787 near the Cleveland airport.
Police say the woman was driving westbound in a Kia Sorrento SUV with her 8-year-old and 2-year-old in the vehicle. She passed an 18-wheeler on a curve and collided with a truck driving in the eastbound lanes.
Police say the children were ejected from the vehicle. The 2-year-old was still in his car seat after being ejected. Both were flown via Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation. No other injuries were reported.
