One Dead in Overnight Boerne Crash
A 40-year-old man was fatally injured Thursday night as a result of a possible drunk driving accident in Boerne.
Details of the Fatal Boerne Accident
According to KSAT, the accident occurred around 10:17 pm in the 500 block of South Main Street.
Police received a report of a possible drunk driver traveling north on South Main Street, and received a follow-up call about a fatal crash near Cibolo Creek soon after.
The driver of the vehicle, Jose Tristan, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated from the vehicle with hydraulic shears, and was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. Tristan died soon after.
Police said this was the second fatal traffic accident for Boerne this year. The crash remains under investigation.

- One person was killed in a traffic accident every 2 hours and 20 minutes.
- One person was injured every 1 minute and 59 seconds.
- A reportable crash occurred every 57 seconds.
