Peloton Recalls Over 2 Million Exercise Bikes Due to Faulty Seats

2.2 Million Peloton Bikes are being recalled due to potential hazards.

About Peloton Model PL01

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of over 2 million Peloton Bikes with model number PL01. The recall is being issued due to reports of the bike seat posts breaking during use, posing a fall and injury hazard.

The recalled bikes were being sold at Peloton and Dick’s Sporting Goods stores and online at Onepeloton.com, Amazon.com, and Dicksportinggoods.com from January 2018 through May 2023 for around $1,400.

Consumers who own a recalled Peloton Bike are being encouraged to stop using the product immediately. Peloton is also offering a free replacement seat post to all affected owners.
