SafeHarbor Windows Recalled — Impact Injury Hazard
Atrium Windows and Doors Incorporated, an American manufacturing company, has recalled approximately 580 SafeHarbor vinyl impact windows due to an impact injury hazard.
About the SafeHarbor Window Recall
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the glass can separate from the frame during hurricane conditions, posing an impact injury hazard.
CPSC recommends that customers avoid areas with the recalled windows during hurricane conditions and immediately contact Atrium via phone at 1-800-377-6524 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or via email at 65impactproducts@atriumwindows.com, to schedule a free repair.
Description of Recalled Windows
The following information was provided by the CPSC:
- This recall involves SafeHarbor Series 65 and 265 vinyl impact windows.
- The windows are custom manufactured and installed by contractors to meet building specifications and thus generally vary in shape and size.
- The windows are installed with a removable label with the “SafeHarbor” brand name on it.
- These windows were sold at ABC Supply, Absolute Installation, Builder’s First Source, Gulf Coast Lumber, Jupiter Industries, Lansing, Lowe’s, and Lumberman’s stores nationwide from March 2016 through September 2016 for between $350 and $750.
