Texas Man and Woman Die in Head-On Collision

Two people were killed in a head-on collision near Salado, Texas last Tuesday. Officials have identified the deceased.

According to KWTX, Sergeant David Roberts from the Texas Department of Public Safety states that 37-year-old Charles Wilson and 49-year-old Tina Champion died from a head-on crash that occurred on FM 2484 approximately four miles west of Salado.

According to Roberts, Wilson was driving a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck east bound on FM 2484 around 5:30 am when he drifted into oncoming traffic and collided head on with Champion, who drove a 2010 two door Mercedes coupe.

Wilson did not have a seatbelt on and was ejected from the car, while Champion had on a seat belt; both parties died at the scene of the accident.

FM 2484 was closed at the scene of the accident, since the incident the road has reopened. The accident is currently still under investigation.
