Man Hit and Killed by Train in South San Antonio

A man was killed after he was hit by a train in San Antonio.

KSAT 12 News is reporting that a man in San Antonio was hit and killed by a train on the south side of the city on Friday evening.

According to police, the accident happened near South Presa and Pyron Avenue just before 7:30 p.m. San Antonio police further revealed that the man was sitting down on the railroad tracks when he was hit by the train.

The police report that the conductor attempted to slow down the train in order to get the man’s attention. At this time, the identity of the man who was hit and killed by the train has not been released at this time, but it has been confirmed that he was in his mid-to-late 40s.
