A fatal trucking accident that occurred a few miles east of Post, Texas left one person dead last Wednesday.
According to Lubbock Avalanche Journal, a semi-truck driver died as a result of an accident that occurred when he pulled in front of another 18-wheeler in Garza County.
The truck driver was pulled over on the side of the northbound lane of U.S. 84. He returned his truck, attached to a milk tank, to the highway and when he attempted to make a U-turn to head south, he collided with another semi-truck.
The other truck, a produce truck, hit the cab of the milk truck – both trucks ended up in the median of U.S. 84.
The driver of the milk truck was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and was transported to a local funeral home. The other driver did not suffer injuries.
