A Weslaco man sustained fatal injuries after the motorcycle he was riding was stuck by an 18-wheeler Monday night.
Details of the Fatal Accident
According to the Monitor, 20-year-old Tino Ramirez was transported to Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco with life-threatening after his motorcycle collided with an 18-wheeler in Donna He was pronounced dead shortly after.
Authorities say Ramirez was traveling southbound on FM 493 when a 1994 Kenwoth tractor truck struck his motorcycle. DPS say the driver of the truck did not see Ramirez and struck the motorcyclist while attempting a right turn from Atlanta Road onto FM 493.
The accident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed. The driver of the semi was not injured.
