Worker Killed in Sacramento Industrial Accident
A worker was killed in Sacramento County in an industrial accident.
Details about the Fatal Industrial Accident
ABC 10 News is reporting that a Sacramento industrial worker was killed on Saturday afternoon when a large piece of steel fell and hit him. Police informed the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health Administration about the accident.
A spokesman of the Sacramento Police Department said that the accident happened just before 2 p.m. at a work site on Elder Creek Road near Florin Perkins Road.
Investigators from Cal/OSHA determined that a load shifted, which caused a large piece of steel to fall and hit 43-year-old Christopher Briggs of Sacramento. Cal/OHSA then took over the investigation and indicated that the circumstances of the accident do not appear to be suspicious.
The name of the business involved in the accident has not been released at this time.
