Mr. Jim Martin is a personal injury attorney Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1997.

Mr. Martin has over 29 years of trial experience representing victims of negligence. Mr. Martin specializes in trucking accidents, medical malpractice, and all major catastrophic injury cases and has obtained the highest AV Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale Hubbell.

Very early on, Mr. Martin wanted to be a trial lawyer, perhaps motivated by his family’s history of catastrophic injuries and death.  His great grandmother perished in the famous New York City Triangle Factory Fire in which more than 140 poor, immigrant seamstresses and garment workers were locked inside the burning building, unable to escape. That tragedy resulted in the safety rule against placing corporate profit over safety. Also, one of his grandfathers died while cleaning refinery tanks and the other while working as a cement mason, both using state-of-the-art bandanas for protection. Mr. Martin is a true believer that civil lawsuits serve the community by helping keep us all safe.

Mr. Martin graduated from Humble High School in 1977, obtained a business degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1981, and received his JD from University of Houston Law Center in December 1984. He has been licensed in Texas since 1985. Mr. Martin worked in law school with Arthur Andersen as a tax accountant and met his future wife on his first day of work. They have now been married 27 years and have five children. Mr. Martin is also proud to be an instructor in plaintiff trial advocacy at a national college for attorneys.

Mr. Martin has several large verdicts to his credit and has handled plaintiffs’ cases all over Texas and across the nation. Outside of the office, Mr. Martin sometimes enjoys golf and his favorite vacation spot with his family is Disney World.
