One Dead in Bastrop Head-On Collision
A head-on collision in Bastrop, Texas claimed the life of a 59-year-old woman on Tuesday.
Details of the Fatal Bastrop Crash
According to the Austin American-Statesman, the head-on collision occurred on Texas 304 Tuesday afternoon.
A preliminary investigation suggests a Ford pickup driven by a 64-year-old man failed to yield to oncoming traffic while attempting a left turn onto the highway. He collided with the woman’s Dodge pickup head on.
The woman was transported to St. David’s Emergency Center-Bastrop where she was later pronounced dead. She has not been publicly identified.
The accident remains under investigation and charges are possible, according to police.
