Three People Hospitalized with Life-threatening Injuries following Crash

According to Action News Jax, three people involved in a multiple-vehicle crash were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries in Jacksonville, Florida, on Thursday morning.

Details of Injury Accident

The crash occurred at the intersection of St. Johns Bluff Road and Beach Boulevard. Police say it began with a Nissan minivan running through a red light at a high rate of speed before colliding with a Honda car stopped at the light.

Action News Jax reports that the minivan and car were struck by a Lexus and a large tanker truck after the initial collision. The minivan driver, a 39-year-old female, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. An 18-year-old male driver and his 16-year-old female passenger were also transported to the hospital with life-threatening conditions.

A woman whose car was involved in the crash says the minivan jumped a curb and struck the Honda. According to Action News Jax, the intersection where the massive wreck occurred is one of the busiest in the city.
