One-Year-Old Child Killed in Two-vehicle Crash in Huntsville

According to WAFF, a young child suffered fatal injuries in a massive crash between two cars in Huntsville, Alabama, on Friday night.

Details of Deadly Accident

A woman was driving west on Kelly Cemetery Road with four passengers, including at least one child, when the fatal wreck happened. The woman pulled into the path of a car traveling north on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway, causing a major collision between the two vehicles.

WAFF reports that an adult and a child were ejected due to the impact of the wreck. The one-year-old child, Booker Cowan, died at the scene. Cowan did not appear to have been restrained in a child safety seat.

The adult that was ejected from the car also did not appear to be restrained, reports WAFF. The other three passengers in the vehicle suffered from non-life-threatening injuries.
