One person was killed in a fatal accident that happened Monday morning.
Details about the Fatal Accident
Willie May Browning, 70, of Harker Heights, died early Monday evening in Coryell County due to a car accident on State Highway 9. Browning was driving a 2016 Honda westbound on the highway when, believed by investigators, she rolled through a stop sign and was hit by a 2012 Ford F-250 pickup truck that was traveling on FM 116.
Everyone in the community spoke very highly of Browning as she was a well-known volunteer in the area who had helped more than 100,000 veterans with their veteran’s affairs claims. Browning’s death was said to be a “tremendous loss.” The driver of the pickup truck was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple with no known life threatening injuries.
