One person was killed in an accident that happened in Rapid City.
Details about the Fatal Motorcycle Accident
The Rapid City Journal is reporting that a 22-year-old man was killed after an accident that happened on Saturday evening along the 2400 block of Mount Rushmore Road, according to a statement that was released by the Rapid City Police Department.
The statement further revealed that the accident happened at about 9:45 p.m., when a Honda minivan that was heading north attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot. The van turned in front of a man that was heading south on the roadway in a Kawasaki motorcycle.
The man on the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the minivan was not injured. At this time, speed appears to have been a factor in the accident, which still remains under investigation at this time.
