Bexar County authorities are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run accident in San Antonio that killed a pedestrian on Sunday.
About the Fatal Hit-and-Run
A woman was killed after being struck by an SUV in western Bexar County, Texas, reports San Antonio Express-News.
Witnesses said that the woman, identified as Vanessa Puente, 38, was walking with her boyfriend on Silver Maple Street near Potranco Road around 2 a.m. when a dark colored SUV struck her from behind, launching her 40 to 50 feet from the site of impact.
The woman died of blunt force injuries at University Hospital, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office. The woman’s boyfriend was not injured.
Police are searching for the SUV driver involved in the hit-and-run death of Vanessa Puente. The vehicle involved in the incident is probably an older model of the Ford Expedition with front-end damage on the passenger side.
