Hampton School Bus Accident Kills One, Injures Another
One woman was killed and another person was injured in a school bus accident in Hampton, Virginia.
Details about the Fatal School Bus Accident
According to police, the victim has been identified as 60-year-old Gloria J. Ford. Ford was killed when a Hampton City school bus and a Chevrolet Malibu collided with each other at the intersection of Settlers Landing and Pembroke Avenue. Police have said that there were no students on the bus at the time of the accident.
Officers report finding Ford suffering from critical injuries when they arrived at the scene of the accident. Ford was taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the school bus was also taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.
