Man Injured in Collision with Delivery Truck
A man was seriously injured after being involved in a motor vehicle accident in Chesapeake.
Important Information about the Dangerous Accident
According to the authorities, the accident happened on Route 58 and Biscoe. Police and emergency crews responded to the scene of the accident at around 12:10 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Police have further stated that the accident involved a delivery truck that was parked illegally on the side of the road near a Kangaroo Gas Station when a vehicle that was being operated by a 48-year-old male slammed into the rear end of the delivery truck.
The man who hit the truck was transported to the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Pepsi delivery truck was not injured at the time of the accident.
Authorities have suspected that alcohol is most likely a factor in the accident, but that the incident remains under investigation by authorities.
