According to Fox 4 News, a high-speed police chase results in a multiple-car crash and five injuries in Fort Worth, Texas, on Monday afternoon.

Details of the Crash

Police say the chase began when they attempted to pull over a man in a stolen pickup truck at around 2:30 p.m. The chase went on for around ten minutes until the suspect hit a curb near some railroad tracks.

The pickup truck collided with vehicles at the crossing. The truck initially slammed into a black Fiat, causing the pickup to rollover onto other cars including an SUV, reports Fox 4 News. A witness claims the pickup truck driver traveled at about 100 miles per hour before the crash.

Witnesses say the driver sustained critical injuries and appeared to have blood all over his face and body. Police say they will arrest the driver once he is released from the hospital. Fox 4 News reports that the driver faces charges including evading arrest, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and vehicle theft.

The drivers of the Fiat and SUV received treatment at a local hospital. Two other people at the scene were treated for injuries, according to Fox 4 News.
