Man, 46, Killed in Accident Involving 18-wheeler, Concrete Barrier on I-35

According to The Dallas Morning News, a man sustained fatal injuries in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a concrete median in Fort Worth, Texas, on Tuesday morning.

Details of the Fatal Accident

Officials say Stephen Dean, 46, was driving south on Interstate 35W near Northeast 28th Street around 11:30 a.m. when the crash occurred. A semi-trailer traveling north on the interstate hit a concrete median, pushing it into the path of southbound traffic.

The Dallas Morning News reports that Dean crashed into the barrier and went airborne before landing underneath the highway off Watauga Road. The man was hospitalized in the wreck and taken to the hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, Dean would succumb to his injuries at the hospital.

The driver of the truck was hurt in the crash as well, reports The Dallas Morning News, but it is unknown to what extent.
