Maryland Bus Crash Injures At Least 30, Mostly Children

At least 30 people were injured Monday morning after a charter bus filled with children overturned in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Early reports suggest 26 of those injured were children.

Details of the Maryland Charter Bus Crash

FOX News reports that the bus was traveling south on Interstate 95 when it overturn near exit 89.

At least one adult and one child sustained critical injuries and were airlifted from the scene to nearby hospitals. Other injuries included cuts, bruises, and possible broken bones.

The cause of the crash is not immediately clear, but state police have questioned the driver of a car possibly involved in the crash.

Local authorities and emergency responders were further assisted by a group of Philadelphia police officers who were taking buses to Washington, D.C. when they saw the accident and decided to stop.
