According to the East Bay Times, Kelli Zachery, 27, was driving to work when her Honda Civic collided with an AC Transit bus at the intersection of California Street and Ashby Avenue around 6:38 am. The front of the bus struck the driver’s side of the Honda.
The force of the initial impact sent both vehicles crashing into a parked car and into a nearby house. Zachery was the sole occupant of her vehicle and was killed in the collision. There was one passenger on the bus, neither the passenger or the driver of the bus was injured.
There were people inside the house when the crash occurred, none of whom were injured.
