Focus Spine Bicycles Recalled for Fall Hazard
Focus Bicycles has issued a voluntary recall for 80 mountain bikes due to an injury hazard posed to consumers.
About the Bicycle Recall
According to the Consumer Product Safety Administration (CPSC), the bicycles seatstay or linkage may be incorrectly sized, resulting In a fall hazard.
The CPSC has stated all consumers should cease use of the recalled bicycles and contact Focus Bicycles for a free inspection and repair.
At least one injury has been reported to the Focus Bicycles.
Description of the Recalled Bicycles
- Four models of the bike were sold and recalled:
- The Spine C (carbon) 0.0
- The Spine C Factory
- The Spine C Pro
- The Spine C SL
- Recalled bicycles were sold in the following color combinations: black/white, grey/orange, and green/yellow.
- “Focus” is printed on the down tube of the bicycles and “Spine” is printed on the to tube.
- The bicycles were sold October 2015-April 2016 for between $4000-$8000
