Recalled Children’s Shoes- Laceration Risk


Skidders Footwear Inc. has recalled approximately 5,500 children’s shoes due to laceration risk. The risk is created by sharpness in the shoe’s rivets.

About the Children’s Shoes Recall

Skidders Footwear has received three reports of the shoes scratching the feet of the wearer. No injuries have been reported.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission urges consumers to immediately take the recalled shoes away from children.

Description of the Recalled Skidders Footwear Children’s Canvas Tennis Shoes

  • The recall applies to Skidders Footwear children’s canvas tennis shoes sold in size 12M, 18M, and 24M.
  • The shoes have white rubber bottoms. They come in the following designs: navy blue fabric with orange rivets and laces, gray fabric with green rivets and laces, and denim colored fabric with pink rivets and laces.
  • They sold at Meijer stores located in Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Kentucky.
  • They were sold from August 2016 through October 2016 and cost $10.
