According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, aggressive driving and road rage are serious problems on the nation’s roadways. The NHTSA defines aggressive driving as “an individual committing a combination of moving traffic offenses so as to endanger other persons or property.”
The NHTSA encourages individual counties to develop programs to watch for and prevent aggressive driving. Bexar County (which encompasses San Antonio, Texas) has implemented one such program in an attempt to curb road rage, which has become increasing prevalent in the area since 2007.
