Teen Critically Injured After Falling from Roof of Car

On Friday night, a Corpus Christi teenager was thrown off the top of a car in a Dicks Sporting Goods parking lot.

Details of the Corpus Christi Incident

KRIS-TV reports 17-year-old Alex Ayala had just left the movie theater with some friends from Ray High School before ending up in the parking lot of Dicks Sporting Goods. According to Marc Harrod of the Corpus Christi Police Department, Ayala was on top of a moving car when it made a turn causing her to fall off.

Alex suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital where she remains, surrounded by friends and family.

Police are still investigating the accident and searching for any video surveillance that may help clear up the situation. It has not yet been determined if the 18-year-old driver will face any charges.
