Three Students Hospitalized after Hit by Pickup Truck at Bus Stop

According to KSTP, three children were injured in a crash after being hit while boarding a school bus in Otsego, Minnesota, on Thursday morning.

About the Pedestrian Injury Accident

The pedestrian accident occurred at a school bus stop located near 78th Street and Parrish Avenue at around 6:51 a.m. local time. Officials say three students were crossing the road to board their bus when a pickup truck failed to stop, hitting the group of kids.

KSTP reports that the three students, Gretta Jensen, Beckett Olson, and Ian Orina, were transported to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids following the wreck. The three Rogers High School students – all 15 years old – sustained critical injuries in the collision.

According to KSTP, the stop-arm was extended at the time of the accident. The police arrested the driver and is currently holding him in the county jail. The condition of the injured teens is unknown.

The crash remains under investigation by the county sheriff’s office, reports KSTP.
