Three Students Injured after 18-Wheeler Crashes into School Bus

According to The Roanoke Times, a semi-truck crashed into a school bus, injuring the driver and three students in Franklin County, Virginia, on Thursday morning.

Details of the Trucking Accident

A Franklin County Public Schools bus traveled on Wirtz Road near Plateau Plaza when the accident occurred. Police say the tractor-trailer ran a red light and crashed into the school bus.

Two students on the bus received treatment at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, reports The Roanoke Times. Another student was taken to the hospital by a parent. The driver of the bus also sustained injuries in the crash.

As a precaution, the truck driver sought medical attention at a hospital. The Roanoke Times reports that the 18-wheeler driver was charged with reckless driving.
