Woman, 65, Struck and Killed by Truck in Mall Parking Lot

According to WKBN, a woman is dead following a collision with a pickup truck in a mall parking lot in Boardman, Ohio, on Tuesday morning.

Driver May Have Experienced Medical Emergency

Judy Dailey, 65, left the JCPenney at Southern Park Mall in Boardman and walked toward her car when the crash occurred. A man in a pickup truck struck the woman, causing severe blunt force trauma.

WKBN reports that the woman was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

The family of the pickup truck driver claims the man suffered from a seizure and blacked out before crashing into Dailey, according to WKBN. They say the man is now recovering in a hospital and undergoing testing.

Police have not confirmed the family’s information, but they say the investigation is still ongoing.
