Mark Pierce


Mr. Mark Pierce is a board-certified trial attorney from Wichita Falls, Texas with 40 years of legal experience. Throughout the course of his extensive career, Mr. Pierce has maintained an AV-Preeminent Peer Review Rating with Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected to Texas Super Lawyers in Aviation Law each year from 2011 to 2019.

Mr. Pierce received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.

During his career as a lawyer, Mr. Pierce has also worked a professional instructor pilot, giving him a unique understanding of cases involving airplane and helicopter crashes. He has served as first-chair attorney in more than 80 jury trials and has personally handled all manner of personal injury cases as well as matters dealing with deceptive trade practices, consumer fraud, workers’ compensation, and real estate litigation. Mr. Pierce also formerly served as Special Prosecutor for the 34th Judicial District of Texas.

Mr. Pierce joined Thomas J. Henry’s Senior Litigation team in 2020 and currently represents clients involved in some of the firm’s most complex commercial cases. He is also a mentor to the firm’s junior attorneys, sharing both his legal expertise and his deep understanding of client communication and satisfaction. Mr. Pierce is a skillful communicator, having spoken frequently at legal seminars throughout Texas and across the United States.

Outside of the office, Mr. Pierce remains an active aviator, holding a commercial pilot license (multi-engine rated), and is an FAA-certified flight instructor. El Paso residents may also remember Mr. Pierce as a former radio talk show host with KTSM 690.
