O. Jude Jasmin
Mr. O. Jude Jasmin is an attorney at Thomas J. Henry.
Mr. Jasmin completed his Doctor of Jurisprudence at Southern University Law Center and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. Upon completing law school, Mr. Jasmin served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Hon. Madeline Jasmine and the Hon. A.J. Kling in the 40th Judicial District Court in Louisiana.
Prior to joining Thomas J. Henry, Mr. Jasmin acquired more than a decade of legal experience ranging from the representation of commercial clients in tax controversy matters to the representation of a school board as its General Counsel.
Mr. Jasmin also spent time in the courtroom as a prosecutor with the St. John the Baptist Parish District Attorney’s Office, wherein he was ultimately promoted to the position of managing attorney. In his career as an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Jasmin prosecuted felony and misdemeanor trials, and successfully argued appeals, Federal Habeas Petitions, and supervisory writs on behalf of the District Attorney.
Through the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Jasmin also voluntarily taught expungement courses to the public. In these free courses offered at local churches and libraries, he was able help individuals remove criminal convictions from their records thus enhancing their ability to obtain jobs and support their families.
Mr. Jasmin has also taught Criminal Justice as an Adjunct Professor at Tulane University in New Orleans.
Beyond his work as an attorney, Mr. Jasmin enjoys and spending time with his wife and their two children.
