Drew Tackett

Attorney at Thomas J. Henry Law's Austin Office

A United State Army veteran, Mr. Drew Tackett served as an 18C (Green Beret) in the 1st Special Forces Group. He was qualified as a sniper and a human intelligence operator, and he deployed to Afghanistan for two years before serving in the Philippines. Part of his job in the Army was training indigenous forces and developing relationships that could help build trust with foreign national partner forces.

Upon leaving the military, Mr. Tackett secured his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Texas State University, graduating summa cum laude. He went on to attend the University of Houston Law Center where he earned is Doctor of Jurisprudence.

Prior to joining Thomas J. Henry Law in 2022, Mr. Tackett worked with a boutique transactional firm focused on startups, private funding rounds, securities, and contract drafting. As an attorney, Mr. Tackett is goal-oriented, always staying focused on his clients’ success and satisfaction. He is also aggressive when the situation calls for it.

Outside of the office, Mr. Tackett enjoys spending time with his wife of 15 years and their five-year-old son. Mr. Tackett and his wife look forward to welcoming their second son in July.
