Hannah C. Hawkins-Cunningham

Ms. Hannah C. Hawkins-Cunningham grew up in Lafayette, Indiana and holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law as well as a Bachelor of the Arts from Purdue University.
While attending law school, Ms. Hawkins-Cunningham was enrolled in the Criminal Defense Clinic and Wrongful Conviction Clinic. She also interned at the Legal Aid Foundation of Las Angeles and earned certificates in “Advocacy Skills” and “Civil and Human Rights”. She also worked as a law clerk at a general practice firm where she gained experience in personal injury law, family law, criminal law, and trusts and estates. Ms. Hawkins-Cunningham also has experience as a public defender.
Ms. Hawkins-Cunningham became an attorney because she wanted to help people in real, tangible ways. Oftentimes, when people seek the help of an attorney, they are going through one of the hardest times of their lives. Ms. Hawkins-Cunningham understands that the legal system is complicated and tough to navigate, and believes everyone deserves an advocate that will guide them and assist them in achieving the best possible outcome for their case.
Outside of the office, Ms. Hawkins-Cunningham is married to an active-duty member of the U.S. Air Force. She and her husband enjoy playing tennis, traveling, and spoiling their 9-year-old chihuahua, Lenny. She is also a member of the Military Spouse JD Network which helps Gold Star families find pro bono legal counsel for a variety of legal issues through its Justice for Military Families initiative.
