Mr. Deniz Kilic earned his Juris Doctor at UNT Dallas College of Law in Dallas, Texas. He also holds a Master of Engineering in geotechnical engineering and a Bachelor of Science in civil and environmental engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, where he additionally completed doctoral coursework in geotechnical engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer and has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2021, with admissions before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of Texas.

Mr. Kilic brings an engineering background to high-volume civil litigation. He spent six years as a civil engineer performing on-site forensic analysis of building failures, examining how sub-structures and super-structures give way, designing public infrastructure systems for residential and commercial communities, and managing platting and permitting across the state. He then worked as a project manager leading construction plan production, monitoring construction processes, managing land development projects for national commercial clients, and conducting engineering due diligence and entitlement reviews. After earning his law degree, he practiced real estate law with two Dallas firms, drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, development and construction agreements, easements, right-of-way agreements, and lender documents, conducting title investigations and property due diligence, and advising clients on compliance and risk questions involving environmental restrictions, access, drainage, and utilities. He also founded his own business and civil litigation firm serving Collin, Dallas, Tarrant, and Denton counties. Most recently, he carried a docket of civil litigation matters involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death claims, serving as lead and second-chair trial counsel in jury trials where he conducted voir dire, delivered opening statements, examined witnesses, and argued motions. He has taken more than three hundred depositions, participated in dozens of mediations, and drafted successful briefs before the Court of Appeals.

As an attorney with Thomas J. Henry Law, Mr. Kilic represents clients involved in car accidents, truck accidents, company vehicle accidents, workplace accidents, and premises liability accidents. His engineering training gives him a technical command of how construction sites, roadways, and structures fail, which shapes how he investigates a case. He is a native Turkish speaker and a member of the Dallas Bar Association. Outside the office, he follows recent world history and economics and plays racquetball and soccer.
